I'm sick... I hate getting sick by myself, sometimes I'm a little afraid if I got really sick no one would ever know because I'm here by myself... someone is going to find me dying on my floor or something.. but God has been good... I get 4 days off this week instead of the usual two... so plenty of time to get better.. and boy do i need it...
On a brighter note, last week was basically the kick off of the festivals!!! There are some strange ones in this area.. the most famed one which I can't make it to is the fertility one where they take it very seriously to have a huge penis paraded around... Anyways I got to see the local nude one instead...
They have a special pick where one guy in the nude runs for it and everyone chases him to throw water on him... I don't know why... and we don't know what happens after he gets caught... we just know its festival... unfortunately I didn't get to see the chase... had to go to work but I did get my nude guy....
Japan doesn't usually have street stalls but they set them up for the festival - see below... These are my coworkers :D (not the guy with the bell or the crowds of japanese or mr. police)
